"The Harris Rifles"

"The Harris Rifles" is an organization dedicated to preserving the memories of those involved in the War Between the States.  We are a "family-oriented" unit.  Our military impression is important - we want to "look sharp" on the field of battle, know our drill manual, and do whatever is necessary to bring the battle scenarios to fife.  Our camp life is equally important.  We believe that by providing realistic camp scenarios for the public, we can add another dimension to our teaching - a dimension often overlooked by people who view the Civil War as being one long, bloody battle!  We welcome and encourage the civilian re-enactor in our camp.  Politicians, visiting wives and children, newspaper correspondents, and musicians are some of the impressions that add flavor to our Hobby!
