We also believe that by providing civilian scenarios to the public, we can add another dimension, often overlooked, of the Civil War. We welcome and encourage civilian impressions, such as politicians, journalists, visiting wives and families and itinerent musicians. All these impressions add flavor and diversity to our hobby!
Authenticity in attire, gear and behavior is also important to us. We do allow the use of certain modern conveniences, at the discretion of the individual, but we do insist that such items be put away, or otherwise disguised during the hours the camp is open to the public. Wooden boxes, blankets, gum blankets and canvas covers can be fine camouflage for anything "modern".
Finally, we like to have fun! A quality living history portrayal can be fun and historically correct. This is a hobby, and meant to be enjoyed.
